The home of Mercy Regional Medical Center is Ville Platte, LA. Located in Evangeline Parish, Ville Platte is a colorful town rich in history, agriculture, timber and natural resources.

Set in the heart of “Cajun Country” and known as the “Sportsman’s Paradise,” the area is filled with beautiful lakes and vast wooded areas. It is also home to Chicot State Park, 6,400 acres of rolling hills and water, and a favorite spot for campers from near and far.

Adjacent to the park is the 300-acre Louisiana State Arboretum, an area devoted to a living, natural exhibition of plant life native to Louisiana.

Ville Platte hosts numerous festivals throughout the year, featuring Cajun cooking events and many other highlights that are unique to south Louisiana.
